Lorry performed the role of Tony in the original production of Summer Rain for Sydney Theatre Company. Written by highly acclaimed Australian writer Nick Enright the cast was a who’s who of Australian theatre led by Peter Carroll and Nancy Hayes and directed by Rodney Fisher.
